Kendra's brother Blake will turn 17 this month! She is disappointed that he does not make an attempt at a relationship with her. He does talk with her when she calls but she has not bothered doing so in quite some time. She was hurt that he removed her pictures from his myspace page but.............he has not been on it for awhile anyway.
In our conversation last night. I told her to not give up on him, to pray for him. She looked at me kind of odd.........and this next statement fell from my lips. "He is not living in a Christian home........you may be the only one who can introduce him to Jesus. Do not give up!" The truth of the statement rocked me.
I continued with everyone has the ability to choose how to live their life.....and it is harder for those who have not been led by a Christian example to turn from the lifestyles and the examples that they have grown up with. This does not make them bad people just making different choices. Be the light they need to see but do not cram it down their throat. Sometimes a quiet example speaks much louder than a pushy preacher. Just keep praying for those you care about and when you feel the need to pray harder about someone or something share that with people you trust to pray about it too.
